La Plage

Voted “The Most Romantic Restaurant on Long Island” by the New York Times, La Plage is sure to wow even the toughest culinary critic. Located on a gorgeous beach-front location, La Plage offers both indoor and outdoor dining.

La Plage has been open for 25 years and is number 27 in Zagat. The chef and founder, Wayne Wadington offers customers an eclectic, creative French-American cuisine which features fish and produce that is brought in fresh daily.

La Plage offers seasonal menus, along with lunch, dinner and a Sunday Dinner menu. The menu boasts oysters or little neck clams from the Raw Bar, delicious salads like the Gold and Red Beet Salad with micro greens, Bucheron Goat Cheese, Naval Oranges and Pepitas, Apple Wood Smoked Beef Carpaccio with Manchego Cheese, Mesclun, White Truffle Oil and a Sage Vinaigrette from the appetizers or the Slow-Braised Pork Osso Bucco served with sweet corn, bacon and sage risotto and baby boy choy from the dinner menu; there is something for everyone to fill their bellies with.

OHK Bar & Restaurant

Who doesn’t want to dine in an actual castle?? OHK Bar & Restaurant is located in the historic OHEKA CASTLE. Oheka Castle was built by Otto Hermann Kahn from 1914-1919 and is the third largest private home in the United States! The castle boasts 32 guest rooms and suites and has hosted the weddings of some of the biggest celebrities – including Joe Jonas, Theresa Guidice, and is the location of where the Great Gatsby Movie was filmed.

Want to really impress your date or loved one? If the gorgeous historic setting doesn’t do it, the food certainly will! Start out with the Mediterranean Plate, or the Lobster BLT salad, followed up with the Porterhouse Lamb Durango which includes twin 6oz chops, blackberry cascabella sauce and lemon cheese risotto. Make sure to save room for dessert, and try the fresh and delicious Berries and Cream with lemon sorbet and mixed berries or the Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae with moose tracks and a chocolate fudge brownie.

Dine in-doors or Al Fresco; or really set the bar high and do dinner and a night stay in the Oheka Hotel. Located right on Huntington Harbor on the Long Island Sound, Prime takes your breath away from the moment you step through the doors. Try looking past the elegant, sophisticated décor and feast your eyes on the million dollar boats and the gorgeous sunset before you.

Once you get over the breathtaking view, you are greeted by an amazing menu. Start your dinner off with some Blue point oysters and lobster cocktail from the Raw Bar, followed up by their incredible crab cakes which are LOADED with huge chunks of crab. Do you go the surf route with Miso broiled cod with charred broccolini, lemon and walnuts, or Hudson Valley Steelhead Salmon with shaved Brussel sprouts, tater tots topped with a béarnaise sauce? Or do you go with one of their undeniably amazing steaks? Honestly, it’s kind of hard to choose. Don’t forget about their deluxe sushi rolls and their dessert.

Step into this Elegant, sophisticated Euro-chic Greek restaurant that features a breathtaking Raw Bar on display, floor to ceiling windows and a romantic air about it.

Your date or loved one will definitely be thrown by the unique menu… in a good way! Start your night off with the Grilled Octopus and Kolokithi which is paper thin cuts of zucchini and eggplant served with lightly fried kefalograviera cheese and tzatzki. Feeling adventurous and show off your “foodie” side? Order a whole fish for two! You can choose from the Black Sea Bass from North Carolina which is a wild bass, tender and flaky. The Fagri from Greece which is a firm and meaty snapper or the Red Snapper from Florida which is a white, moist and sweet fish. You can’t go wrong with either three and you’ll have your pick from the delicious sides, like Horta; a red, white and gold Swiss chard, escarole and spinach, Broccoli Rabe sautéed with garlic and feta cheese or the Greek fries seasoned with oregano.

Not into fish? Don’t worry! Limani has plenty for you to choose from on The Land, like their USDA Prime Cowboy 26oz. bone-in rib eye, dry aged for 30 days or their Organic half bone-in chicken breast, marinated and grilled with rosemary and thyme.

If you’re not stuffed to the gills (pun intended) after your meal, indulge in delightful Dessert menu. Check out the Chocolatina which is a warm chocolate soufflé served with roasted figs and fig ice cream, or the Loukoumades, Greek fried dough puffs, honey, walnuts and cinnamon.

Take your date on a journey to the Mediterranean at Krinti. This restaurant boasts an understated elegance with lots of wood finishes and warm red, orange and gray accent colors that invite you right in.

Spice up the date right off the bat with Krinti’s Spicy Eggplant Appetizer that comes with lightly spiced cubes of eggplant cooked with chopped tomatoes, peppers, garlic and herbs. Followed by the Octopus Salad tossed with onion, diced tomatoes, cucumbers and parsley in lemon and olive oil. For dinner grab the Iskender, a lamb gyro topped with light tomato sauce, served over diced pita bread and topped with yogurt sauce.
