Some historians believe that we have the English to thank for brunch. In England, it was common to have pre-hunt breakfasts with were traditionally lavish meals that featured both sweet and savory dishes. Other historians argue that brunch was started thanks to the Catholics who practiced fasting before church and then eat a large meals afterwards.
Whatever and wherever brunch started, we are forever thankful that it took off. While we aren’t fueling up for a hunt or breaking a fast, who knows, some of you could be, we are certainly gearing up for a day of good food, drinks and fun.
